Whirlwind divers competed in the one-meter, three-meter, and platform events in various age brackets, with Eibhlin Moynahan earning the title of Junior National Qualifier following her sixth and ninth placements in the 11 & under Girls one-meter and three-meter events.

Julie Frangione earned 20th and 14th place respectively on the one-meter and three-meter dives for the 12-13 Girls team. The 16-18 Girls team featured a one-meter finish from Natalie Penman, earning 25th place; three-meter placements from Kaitlyn Magio, Penman, and Hannah Chuckas, earning 27th, 29th, and 30th respectively; as well as a 14th place platform finish from Magio.

“Coach Adam and I are extremely proud of the team’s performance at the Zone Championship, our last meet of year. We’re excited to build upon each of our divers’ athleticism following this meet as we look forward to the fall,” shared Joe Somma, Competitive Diving Director and Head Coach. In reflection of the year, the team had a stellar season with multiple All-American Athletes, a third-place finish at YMCA Nationals, and a strong finish in their USA Diving Summer Circuit.
