Rainbow Station is a full-day child-care program for children 6 weeks through five years of age.
Rainbow Station provides a safe, nurturing environment, rich with age-appropriate experiences where children can explore their surroundings and develop at their own pace. Each classroom follows a theme-based curriculum providing children with the opportunity to develop social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative skills. We offer children spacious indoor and outdoor spaces to explore and learn through a play-based environment.
Our three and four-year-old classrooms provide a full-day preschool setting with age-appropriate activities and curriculum designed to build character, develop independence, and foster a love of learning. As a benefit of being a part of the Y, Rainbow Station preschoolers also enjoy activities beyond the scope of a traditional preschool program and participate in programs unique to our Y, including swim lessons, Bouncing Bears time in the Kid Zone, and weekly music classes.
The program operates on a year-round basis. Hours are Monday-Friday, from 7:30 AM-6:00 PM. We maintain a staff ratio of at least 1:3 for infants, 1:4 for toddlers and 1:8 for preschoolers.
