The New Canaan YMCA is dedicated to promoting the mental and physical well-being of its community. In partnership with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Greenwich Bennett Center for Behavioral Health, private counseling services are now available at the New Canaan YMCA.
The Bennett Center for Behavioral Health will offer therapy in a private, welcoming space in the Y’s facility for individuals, couples, and families ages 6 through older adulthood. Fill out an intake form below to get started.
All major insurance plans are accepted, and no YMCA membership is required. Open to the entire community!

Erin Tishman, LPCClinical Director for JFS Behavioral Health Services
Erin Tishman is a Licensed Professional Counselor and brings 20 years of clinical experience in a multitude of different settings to her role as Clinical Director. She holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Saint Michael’s College and a masters degree in counseling psychology from Rosemont College and since has worked providing therapy, clinical supervision, and program development in Vermont, Philadelphia and CT.
Erin has worked in director roles at Family Centers and Effective School Solutions, as well as, in her own private practice. She has extensive knowledge in different treatment modalities and interventions in working with individuals, couples, and families and she is a firm believer that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to growth, change, and wellness.

Psychotherapist
Patricia Finnegan, LMFTA graduated from Fairfield University School of Education and Human Development with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Taking a biopsychosocial, intergenerational, and family systems perspective, Patricia collaborates with her clients in treating issues such as anxiety depression, relationship and parenting challenges as well other life stressors. Patricia works with individuals, couples, and families and is available for in person and telehealth sessions.

Psychotherapist
Caleb Connor, LPC-A, is a psychotherapist who earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University. He began his career as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for individuals on the autism spectrum, and later worked in patient care and admissions at Silver Hill Hospital. These roles gave him the opportunity to support individuals of all ages, facing a wide variety of challenges and levels of care. He has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of mental health concerns.
Caleb values building strong therapeutic relationships and uses a person-centered approach, adapting his methods to meet each client’s individual needs and goals. His work is guided by compassion, collaboration, and the belief that everyone has the ability to grow and heal.
