Free Swim (All Ages)
Free Swim times are open to individuals and families interested in enjoying unstructured time in our Scooter Pool. Advance sign-up for Free Swim times is available online through our membership portal.
Family Open Gym (All Ages)
Family Open Gym play is available on a first-come, first-served basis for New Canaan YMCA Family Members. Note: Children in 4th grade or younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please try to bring your own equipment. Basketballs are available for use. View our schedules online or on the New Canaan YMCA mobile app.
Bouncing Bears Open Gym (Ages 4 and under, Pre-K) *Free with Family Membership
Days & Hours:
Tuesdays: 5:30-6:30 pm
Wednesdays: 12:15-1:00 pm
Thursdays: 3:15 – 4:00 pm
Fridays: 11:30-12:15; 12:15-1:00 pm
Saturdays: 2:00-2:45 pm; 2:45-3:30 pm

Fee: Free with a Family Membership or when enrolled in a Bouncing Bears Gymnastics class | $20.00 for all others
Advance sign-up for Bouncing Bears Open Gym times is available online three days in advance through our membership portal.
Non-members and local Y reciprocity members must also purchase a day pass to participate in Bouncing Bears Open Gym.
Please note: For the safety of all, each Open Gym time is limited to 12 children on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents are required to stay and supervise play. Please pick up an Open Gym pass at the Front Desk.

Youth Strength Training (F.I.T. Pass, Ages 12-13) *Free with Family Membership
The Families in Training (F.I.T.) program is designed to strengthen families by providing opportunities to exercise together in a safe and fun environment at the Y. Youth ages 12-13 will earn a F.I.T. pass upon completion of a youth strength training course, which teaches sound principles of strength training, aerobic endurance, muscle conditioning, as well as Wellness Center safety. F.I.T. pass holders may work out on their own between 2:00-5:00pm or with a parent at any time in the Wellness Center. Please note: F.I.T. pass privileges do not include use of the Zone.

Drop-in Group Exercise Classes (Ages 14+) *Free to New Canaan YMCA Members
Group Exercise Classes are open to all Y members ages 14 and older: Youth ages 12-13 may attend classes with a parent (excluding Group Power). Cycling is open to ages 10 and older with a parent, as long as leg length is 30″ from top of hip bone to bottom of foot.
